The owner lets me know a little before 9 last night that her dog was rushed to the VET with what they think was HGE she says. She is due to drop them off at 7 am, but their flight isn't until the afternoon. I have already advised her I will probably have her contact her vet and let them know the dog will be in my care while she is out of town. For the safety of not only my own dog, but I have 3 dogs booked for doggie daycare arriving at 11:30 I really feel like I need something from the vet that they have ruled out anything else that could be contagious? Should I contact someone at Rover to find out what they would have me do? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Worrying about this is not letting me get any good rest and tomorrow is gonna be a busy day!

Thank You for your answer! It's good to know my sweet Percy isn't the only weirdo out there. There isn't anything wrong with moms dogs ears and Percy has started doing the same thing to my cousins dog! So the cycle continues because Ruby (cousin's dog) has started doing it back to him!

After Harvey we had a massive number of people leave Louisiana to assist in Texas. A great deal of which you may have heard of are members of the Cajun Navy which was formed in my parish out of necessity during the major flood event we had here last year. After what we went through the flooding in Texas really touches hearts here and The Cajun Navy and many others went as soon as it was safe to help the people of houston. We already had some of the Department of wildlife and fishery agents leave for florida Yesterday and i'm sure today i will be seeing big groups formed to assist in florida as well. I can't leave and help onsite but I can keep animals for the ones that are going. It would be a great way for us to help and also provide some really good publicity for Rover and the sitters in our area.

My dog is persistent almost obsessive about licking the inside of my parents dogs ears. He licks their ears like it is his job to clean them. Does anyone know why he does this?
