I feed my dog Nature's Recipe Pure Essentials dry dog food. It is grain-free with limited ingredients. There are bits of actual dehydrated ingredients in it (peas, carrots, sweet potatoes, and cranberries). My dog doesn't have any allergies, but I just want him to be on "natural" food with no grain. Just better for their diet I feel. My dog loves it too - he literally licks his bowl clean.
