I had a client say their dog brought home fleas after their stay with me and I am mortified! I sprinkle Diatomaceous earth (food grade) in the carpet and under furniture. I spray Vets Best Flea and Tick Home Spray and wash blankets all the time. I welcome any tips or advice on getting rid of fleas in the home. At meet and greets, I tell pet parents to make sure their dog is current with flea medication and also advise oral flea medication because fleas are becoming immune to the topical flea medication.

I contacted the sitter and she turned out to be very nice and changed the wording back to her own. I didn't give her enough credit before I started to complain. We exchanged phone numbers and all is good!! She was really great!

I had the pleasure of meeting another Rover sitter nearby and we are great friends now, We refer each other dogs when we are booked up and we love to swap dog stories and have good laughs. But I tell you the sitter who stole my whole section about what I would like to know about a dog can't be nice.

Thank you so much! The only way I can get a hold of her is to request she watch my dog. She copied my whole section about what I would like to know about the dog. I would NEVER do that to another sitter and I was very disappointed in Rover because I work hard for them and they didn't have my back.

Unfortunately, Rover decided not to do anything about it. It's a terrible feeling to have someone steal wording off of my profile when she is my direct competition. Oh well, what can I do but re-write it which proves to be harder than expected.

I am in the same boat as I get paid through PayPal and I haven't earned enough to get a 1099 from Rover. I was told to file a Schedule C with a profit and loss statement. Make sure to save your receipts for all pet supplies and mileage while travel sitting etc for write offs.

Another sitter in the same area just copied part of my profile word for word and put it on her profile. Is there any recourse to make her change it? To top it off, she is newer than me and is charging $10. less per night. I feel like she just degraded my profile after I put so much thought into what I wrote. I wish Rover would have something to protect the authenticity of each sitter's profile.
