Overall, it is probably is, but that would depend on where you live and what the customs might be. Where I live, there are many younger transplants who have moved here for school/work and go home for the holidays. Other than friends, they have no family here to take in their dog, so Thanksgiving and Christmas can be huge in terms of demand.

I agree with Karen considering we live in the same state. I am very busy for Thanksgiving and Christmas to the point where someone is going to be turned away. I usually accommodate my repeat customers during the holidays and it's a competition who can get to me first. So prepare to be busy :)
