answered a question can i search for a sitter by name?

If you know the zip code of the sitter, you should be able to find them that way.

answered a question Is it just me?

I think it is good that Rover does not allow this. While I think some good would be achieved in allowing sitters to notify others about aggressive behaviors, late pickups, and accident-prone dogs, I think far more harm could come to Rover sitters if dog owners were suddenly able to see negative reviews about themselves. I think Rover could quickly lose favor with the community and lose business as a result. I also think it would be unfair to let sitters share thoughts about owners without giving owners the chance to defend themselves. That's gossip.

Instead, I keep notes for myself and if an encounter is negative enough, I block that owner from future bookings with me. BTW, I've only done this once, with an owner who had an excuse for not scheduling a meet-and-greet and failed to pay for a visit up front. I took this intro as a sign of troubles to come, so refused to take his dog. If I encounter a serious problem with an owner, I would notify Rover and trust they would block that person from future use of Rover.

answered a question After a year of problem-free dosing, all of a sudden I can't get my senior dog to take her pills no matter how I try. Any ideas beyond the obvious?

Try crushing the pill and mixing it with a bit of stock or gravy.

answered a question Can I give my dog chicken bones?

I choose to stick with elk antlers. While I have never had problems with chicken bones, I've heard too many warnings from others. So instead, I cook the bones in a broth that I feed my dogs.

answered a question What kinds of human food can I feed my dog?

Chicken is my dog's favorite food. Poultry, fish, and eggs are all good options. I save up chicken bones and vegetable ends to make stock that gets served with every meal. I learned through a Rover (WhiskerDocs) vet that pumpkin puree is good for dealing with diarrhea. I also like to add a bit of turmeric to the diets of older dogs to help with joint pain and tumors. I avoid most grains, except for small amounts of rice, served on occasion. I avoid beef products as that seems to be hard on dogs digestive tracts. I add variety of vegetables, but always amounts smaller than the meat/protein part of the meal. I keep the fat levels low.
