What is considered overnight boarding?

I'm new to boarding dogs in my home. If the client needs more than 24 hours, what is the standard practice for then charging for "day care" in addition to the overnight boarding?

At the M&G I typically ask the client about dropoff and pickoff times. If there is a significant overage, then I will inform them that there will be charge of X amount based on the number of hours over. I do allow some leeway and am not as strict as a kennel or hotel. A few hours over is fine. However, when a dog will be with me for an entire day and into the evening, then they will be charged for a full "night," This would be the case for a morning dropoff and a late evening pickup. If done at the M&G (or anytime before the client pays), then you can easily edit the booking details for number of days and/or any special charges. If there is an unplanned overage, then it is up to you to create a new stay/extend stay request for payment. It is all at your discretion, but it is very important that you communicate your policies to the client at the outset.
