If my dog stays overnight and it ends up being over 24 hrs, do i pay for one overnight and one day of daycare?

He's being dropped off in the morning and not picked up until the following evening, so that seems to me it would be 1.5 days ..... 1 overnight and one day of daycare.

The "nightly" boarding charge is for 24 hours of care.

Depending on the number of hours over 24, a sitter should charge for daycare or even another full day (or "nightly charge") of care if your dog is not picked up until late the following evening. the dog would be receiving at least three additional walks and, generally, dogs require more care and supervision during their waking hours.

It truly depends on the sitter - technically, an overnight booking is for 24 hours. Some sitters are more strict than others, so while one person may be lenient and say it's only one day, another person would charge for day care, too.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but how did you get your name to be "Daniela and Michael" instead of just one first name? Did you sign up that way or change it after you signed up? Thanks!

We didn't sign up with it, it happened after we had been on the site for a while. I needed to go out of town but was still getting asked by regulars if I could watch their dogs for that weekend - instead of turning them away, I asked my clients if it was alright with them that Mike took care of their pets that weekend since (1) they all knew him, (2) he had always been around when their pets had stayed and (3)was technically my partner in the Rover business. Because of Rover TOS, if a stay was booked through my account, we would need his name on my profile, as well.

Hi. I'm new here. My thoughts are if you have a limited number of dogs you can care for, and have to decline another reservation because the one isn't being picked up until late the following evening, I would charge for the overnight stay x2. You may even tell the parent that their pup(s) are welcome to stay until the following morning if it is more convenient for them. (answer based on dog being dropped off in the morning and not being picked up until the following evening.)

Totally depends on the sitter - it's up to them. If you tell them when your dog(s) will be dropped off and picked up and they don't mention anything about an additional fee prior to finalizing the booking, then you'll just get charged for one night. You may want to tip them though ;)
