What times should be pick up times if care is 24 hours per day?

I have this burning question, because it states that each day is counted as 24 hour care for your service to be paid. So if a dog is dropped off at 8 am on a Thursday and the owner says they will pick up by 9am on Sunday. But say the client tells you differently on Saturday night, and they say they wont be picking up til 6pm, wouldn't you feel like your sitting for half a day and not getting paid for it?

Thoughts on this, should their be a pickup time and drop off time log on Rover to make this safer?

Under this scenario, the owner needs to pay a daycare charge for the overage. Given that it is an entire day, during which you will be caring for their dog and taking it on at least two more walks, you would be entirely justified in my opinion in charging for another full day (9am -6pm). If they were using a doggie daycare center, that is approximately the in/out times anyway. Use the extend the stay feature to bill for another day. The owner needs to pay before the dog is picked up. When the owner contacted you on Saturday night, that is when you should have told them you would be happy to keep Rover until Sunday evening and will be sending them a bill for the additional time. However, that doesn't mean you cannot do it now.
