How do I get my profile to be listed higher when searched?

I trying to find ways to help get my profile listed higher when searched. I know getting reviews and taking pictures and posting them helps but wanted to see if there were other things that could be done. Thanks.

I am still learning what goes into that but I think: How many calls you get to sit; how many you accept and how many you turn down. How quickly you answer an e mail about a stay. How many repeat sits you have with the same dog. You mentioned pictures and reviews. Rover may read some of your e mail conversations with possible clients ??? Whether or not you order cards and posters etc.??

This site changes so quickly it's hard to tell how they rank search results anymore. There use to be tons of "lessons," "quizzes" and other things you could do to earn badges. More badges would improve your chances. As well as response time, and good reviews. That was well over a year ago though, now some badges take money to earn such as the background check and donating. Which is great for the clients peace of mind yet hard on your earnings. I don't even think badges matter any more. I've noticed no real formula for improving your results as of late, just do a great job, be friendly, honest, and passionate about providing quality care.

Rover doesn't share with sitters their algorithm regarding search results, so we are just making suggestions. I looked at your profile and it looks great to me - your response rate is great, you have 18 reviews, and lots of photos. It depends on how many sitters are in your area for the service requested, and I think new sitters get top billing for a bit after they join. I don't think ordering marketing materials or doing publicity activities affects your ranking, although that will get your name out there and the client can contact you directly.
