Sitter's use for Rover bucks???

I used a coupon code for my first stay and it credited me, as the sitter, with $20 Rover Bucks. What can I use these for besides maybe the Background Check?

As I understand it, you can't cash those out like the rest of our earnings, but you can use them to pay for anything through the site. I don't think the background check would count, since you aren't paying Rover, you're paying the agency that completes the check. But you can use them towards another sitter's services and the Rover protection package.

EDITED TO ADD: I was just able to cash out a $10 credit from someone using my coupon code, so it appears these funds can now be used like any other Rover income.

Hi guys! From what I understand, when someone uses your own coupon code for you as a sitter, you are credited $20 in Rover bucks. I think they pretty much assume that we all have our own pets and would then use that money toward having another Rover sitter watch our pets. I would love to know if there are other good uses for that money as well.

When someone uses your own coupon code for another sitter, you get $10 in cash.

I haven't actually done either of these things yet, so this is just based on what I've read. Also, if you're trying to get the $50 referral fee, make sure the person uses the link in the e-mail to create their profile. If they don't, you will not get the credit even if the email address is the same, etc.

Hope this helps!

The client gets $20 off for using your coupon code, regardless of who they book with. You get a $10 credit if the client uses your code for someone else's services. You get the full rate of the stay if they use your coupon code to book with you, but you do not get an additional credit.

I'm sorry, I should have clarified that you would get $20 credit if it's their first stay through Rover. This is the "Give $20, Get $20" program.

That program isn't meant for sitters (though I don't have a reason to believe it wouldn't work for sitters). It's a referral program like referring a new sitter to the site, except it's referring others who need sitters rather than others who want to be sitters. You directly send an email to a friend/family member, and if they follow your link to book a stay, you each get $20 credit. It's different from your coupon code. You don't get anything extra if someone uses your coupon code to book with you. http://refer.rover.com/micro/microsite_2?source=rover_blog_owner_referral&extole_test_destination=true

This is an excellent question! I haven't had any Rover Bucks, yet. I wonder if you could use it toward things like Rover business cards and other Rover gear?
