Is there a way for a sitter to review a dog?

Is there a way for a sitter to review a dog/pet owner? I had a meet and greet today and got a funny feeling that the person has been through several rover sitters because the stays don't typically go well. It would be great for a sitter to be able to give a heads-up about a dog that's potentially hard to handle, or about a dog owner that hasn't been truthful in the past.

Is it somehow possible to find out what other sitters have watched that dog? Because I would do my research if I had a bad gut feeling about one!

You can look at photos of the dog's past stays I believe (if there are past stays and if there are photos from that stay) and it should mention the sitter's first name attached to the photo(s). You can try to find that sitter's profile in your area since you know their name. You can also generally look at the reviews of sitters in your area and see if the owner who's contacted you has left a review for one of them.

Unfortunately, no. Sitters here have expressed their desire numerous times for access to those reviews, but it really isn't in Rover's best interest to share them. I would imagine the rationale being that eventually there will be a sitter who can deal or put up with the dog.

Hi Amanda, There have been a couple of meet and greets where the dog owner has talked about their past experiences with other sitters, stated in a some what negative way. I wish there was also a way to see another sitters comments/reviews in those incidences. The pets were sweet but I had a feeling the pet parents would be a problem. I decided to go with my gut feeling each time and not take the dog as a customer. Those are the judgment calls and if you don't need to book immediately it is always good to take a day to think about what made you uncomfortable.
