How do I find a day time dog walker?

I created an account in Rover to find a Day Time (1 hour per weekday) to replace my current doggie care person because she is taking a nanny job. All the options in Rover seem to be night time and short term sitters.

Help please, Carol Milne

Hi Carol,

Start your search by entering your city or zip code in the search bar at the top of the screen. Once you have a list of results, click the "More Filters" option at the top of the results and check the box for Dog Walking, under Services. This will refine your search to show only sitters who offer dog walking services. From there, read some profiles and send messages to a few people you might be interested in. It will require you to enter stay dates, but you can explain your needs in the body of your message. You can arrange meet and greets with interested sitters to find the one (or more) who will suit your needs best. When you find someone you want to book with, you'll want to discuss how frequently you want to pay/your walker wants to get paid. You will pay ahead of time, and your sitter will get paid after the "stay" is complete, so booking for a week or two of walks at a time would be reasonable to make sure that the sitter is getting compensated regularly and you don't have to pay for huge chunks at once.

Hope this helps! Laura
