We just bought a home, and it's fully fenced, but it is only a 3' chain link fence. Does anyone know if you can make the fence taller without having to rip up all of the posts? I want to make sure all of the dogs in my care are safe, and I know the dogs who can jump really high might view my fence as a challenge.
I found a few videos on youtube about extending a chain link fence or converting it to a wooden fence. The options ran from super cheap and not very nice looking (PVC hammered onto the existing posts and another roll of chain link attached to it) to more intensive (anchoring new wooden fencing to the chain link to create a privacy fence) and professional looking.

But you could maybe do something similar without removing all the chain link by attaching taller wooden planks to the metal posts with pipe brackets, similar to what they did in this video, but with sturdier, taller planks - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OHBhn... - and filling in the gaps with wood or something like hogwire.
It may be best to avoid unnecessary work if you can return anything in order to get a better size for your needs?
