I created tear off tab signs with my code website on each tab and stock images of the logo from the Rover website and put them on every bulletin board I can find. Mainly my place of employment and the dog park we frequent.

First let me say that I am Not photogenic so the "STARS" in the photos are the Dogs And Animals! If I am in the photo, I prefer to be in the background. Although I do: post to CL and Facebook, pass out my Business Cards, my Best Marketing and Advertising are my Customers! They tell me how they "Brag" to family, friends and Co-Workers about me. I have even had a neighbor ask for my cards to post at his employers corporation. Also, a repeat customer just told me last night that her Mom brags about me at her place of employment and I haven't even pet sat for her yet! Since I am usually booked when I do get a call, I do ask questions about their pup(s) and refer them back to the rover customer service to assist them in finding a rover sitter that meets their wants and needs. I want my potential customer to go to another rover sitter! But, I do ask them to keep me in mind if/when they need a sitter again.

I found the best thing starting out is a professional, mature profile to get your first clients. Referrals will follow. Scrutinize your profile, even get it edited by a professional communications writer. People want to know about the services you offer them, not all about you. Of course you need to give some of your background to be credible, but so many profiles sound alike. Develop a natural conversational presentation for the M&G. Establishing trust is key. Anticipate questions and answer them during your presentation so pet parents don't have to ask first. How are their lock codes or keys secured by you if you are providing services in their home? Clients are trusting a stranger on that first stay. It's a huge risk on their part. Common sense, maturity, and reliability go such a long way! I love my Rover business and I hope you do too! Best to you all!!

Haven't done it yet, and just got a full-time job, but I was thinking that I would make treat bags and a paw balm to give to owners at dog parks/out on walks with the rover business card attached.
