Do any Rover sitters offer doggy daycare for weird hours?

For example, I am a nurse and I work midshift (11 AM to 11 PM). Would any sitters be open to those hours and if so, how can I get in touch with them ?

You would need to search for doggie daycare services and each sitter should have their availability displayed on profile. If none are listed past 10pm than maybe message through app detailing what you need

You’ll want to look for someone specifically says that they’re available later hours in each sitters’ profile and then message those of interest. It’s very likely there might be someone in your area who offers that. I knew a sitter who was very busy in mornings and preferred long daycare stays with late morning/afternoon &evening/night arrivals and departures.

BTW: I’d suggest search under boarding services, because the charge for boarding would probably be the same for as a 12 hour doggy daycare shift and some sitters do not offer daycare under Rover for a variety of reasons. Sitters offering daycare on rover may operate more during daytime business hours, versus those offering boarding (boarding by rover’s definition suggests 24 hour availability). Rover’s database of sitters includes hundreds if not thousands in every area/city, so if you keep looking, I’m confident you will find a sitter who is interested in taking care of your dog while you take care of humans, especially considering this would likely be an ongoing repeat service weekly. If you need help searching, you can call rover at tel:[Edit: Rover’s contact options have changed. I write in my bio that I do a general 9pm pick up but offer to be flexible should the owner make a request.

I wish Rover had better search options as there's no way to search for sitters who are available for a dog pick up just before midnight. It also might be hard to find a person who is willing to wait this late for you to get your dog. From my personal experience I know many sitters are not allowing people coming to their house after 8pm, because it disrupts their boarding system, for example, guest dogs will start barking and go crazy when people try to come by at midnight. I am not saying it's not possible to find a sitter who likes to stay up this late, but it's a little tricky to search for one when the searching options are not available. Good luck to you though :)

In this scenario, her dog would be leaving after 11pm (arriving late morning). A sitter could possibly walk the dog away from their home’s entrance.

Absolutely. I only stated my personal experience I had, plus experience with my local sitters. None of them allowed pick up after 7pm. But I am not saying that others who I have not met are not willing to stay up till aftger 11pm.

If someone needs to pick up at what some may feel is an “odd” hour, all they have to do is let me know. I work with my clients on a case-to-case basis. I’m working for them, and as long as things are discussed beforehand, I help when and where I can.

Exactly Ellen, that's the only option on Rover - to message each sitter individually and ask. There is no search option. I wish Rover had better search options.
