Why is Rover's user interface terrible?

why is it that i just spent hours poring over sitter's profiles and then when i go to message them, only THEN does the site tell me they are not taking new clients?

why can't I organize my favorites into categories? why can't i search for availability amongst my favorites only?

i keep hoping that they will improve the UI of this site but it never seems to happen. SO FRUSTRATING. if it weren't so hard to find sitters in general, I would have given up on Rover long long ago.

just shooting this into the Q&A since Rover doesn't seem to have any other way of giving feedback.

Rover doesn't come here for, well, anything. You will need to call them at [Edit: Rover’s contact options have changed. Visit the Rover Help Center at https://support.rover.com/ to find the phone number, help articles, or chat with the team] to tell them about the deficiencies of their app and the need to invest some money in improving it.

The app is truly a technical disgrace. Always has been. I don't think they've ever solicited any feedback from either sitters or customers on enhancements to the platform.

First time user here, and can concur the app is horrible to maneuver. I have a bunch of pending requests that I need to cancel and the site will not allow you to do this!! HORRIBLE. So I just have to wait for them to expire. Meanwhile the sitter is asking me to cancel my request because she says ROVER tracks their response time. APP will not allow for this. Finally she accepted my booking, just to allow me to decline it. Although it's still showing as "pending " on my end . Who has time for this? Not me.

Aileen, actually, your sitter was in the wrong. While it is true that Rover tracks sitters' responses (time and action), the sitter only needed to Archive the request to terminate it. You, as an owner, are not able to archive though.
