is this biased? are the dog sitters able to delete negative reviews? i find this hard to believe that all the dog sitters are perfect!! this does not seem honest. how do we separate the good from the bad? google reviews at least have good and bad. explain please why all reviews are 5 stars?????
Sitter can not and rover will not delete any negative reviews. Sitters can only respond... if a sitter has many reviews, you may have to click more reviews to see all. It seems that pet owners are only motivated to go out of their way to write a full review if they have a great experience and award five stars to help sitter grow business or a bad experience and slam sitter with scathing comments and 1 or 2 stars. It happens.
Reviews and Profiles may help with filtering out who to contact. My belief is the only way to be reasonably confident in choosing the best match for you and your pets is a thorough meet & greet, both parties should ask all relevant questions...and if it seems like a fit, book a short term trial ( such as walk or day care or single overnight) long before booking a longer stay, so you can better evaluate.
I am certain you have not looked through "all" sitters reviews, because I have seen some 1 star and negative reviews too. If you find it hard to believe, set up a meet and greet with few and see why they only get 5 stars from their clients. Good luck.
