Night time pickup compensation?

Can I get compensation for another night if the owner puts that they'll pick up their fur baby late at night?

You are the business owner and set the rules for how your business will operate.

It's difficult to answer your question since you didn't provide enough details. Generally, when an owner books you, each "night" of boarding is good for up to 24 hours of care. The owner is supposed to enter into the system the drop-off, as well as the pick-up time. If the system calculates an overage, it will automatically charge accordingly. That process is explained here:

If the owner didn't enter those times, it is up to you to ensure they are recorded BEFORE you accept the booking and the customer pays. Getting additional compensation after the fact is difficult or impossible. That's why you need to do it from the beginning and emphasize to the customer that those times are fixed and that's all they've paid for. I do give them a couple of hours leeway, but don't tell them this otherwise they'll push my limits.

Anyway, you didn't say when the dog was dropped off and how much over it might be if you allowed a night time pick up. Once again, you set the rules. Some sitters stipulate what times they will allow drop-offs and pick-ups. I allow up to 10 pm but never before 8 am.

If you supply additional details, I might be able to provide better explanations.

Yes, you can always inform clients (and put it on your page) that you charge a fee for late night pick up. Let's say a client demands he wants to pick up his dog at midnight but you want to go to bed at 11 and a midnight pick up is very inconvenient. But for a $15 fee you will stay up and wait.

When I used to board dogs I would list drop off hours and pick up hours on my page. I had people asking for a drop off or pick up at odd hours like 2am or 4 am, so I decided that i will have set drop off and pick up hours, but i'll be open to schedule other options for a fee.

You are not obligated to stay up till 1am to wait for a client. It's not reasonable. Tell them to pick the dog up in the morning during business hours.
