You did exactly what I would recommend. You called the owner to notify them. This case they called a neighbor to verify and then a locksmith. There’s really not much else you can do. You could notify rover preemptively to tell them the details If you think this owner may request a refund for dates you couldn’t enter, but there’s nothing rover can do to help.
