How do you manage drop offs and pickup?

I am new to Rover and have my first 2 clients (yahoo!) How do you handle your drop offs and pickup? I really would like to do it on the porch and not have people into my home. But I worry that won't be acceptable to clients, that they would want to see where their dog is staying.

The sitter I use from Rover did a meet and greet in her house, but ever since the initial contact we go into her back yard for drop offs. And, she never said anything, it just started happening that way. Is that a good way to handle it? One inside visit and then meet outside? What do you tell the client if anything? I looked through some profiles in my area and only saw one that said anything about that issue. She stated in her profile that drop off and pickup would be outside, that no one is allowed in her house. Was very strong about that and said on her profile to be aware of that rule before you book. Should I add that to my profile? THX for any advice you can give me!

My clients come into my home for the M&G. In my opinion, they are entitled to see where their pet is staying since guest dogs do get the run of the first floor.

However, for drop-offs and pick-ups, I've rarely seen any need for the client to come in. Occasionally, they do, but most of the time, they are on the front porch and we exchange pets and their belongings there. No one has ever said a word. I think most of the time, they have no desire to come in anyway and are in a hurry.. Plus then you have to deal with dirty or wet shoes, etc.
