Can Rover sitters take dogs for vet appointments?

Yes, there are sitters who will do these things for you. However, it will NOT be all sitters. You will have to read through their profiles to see if they provide pet taxi or transportation services and what they charge. Unfortunately, Rover's site does not have a filter to make it easier for you to search for such individuals.

There can be a pickup/delivery fee associated with boarding that is part of the standard rate table. However, in the case of an appointment at a vet, that would entail more of the sitter's time because they are going to have wait while your pet is seen. (And, I don't know about you, but I have frequently had significant waits at my vet's office.) So be prepared to pay more for that particular service.

You have to communicate with your chosen sitter and ask all these question directly.

I can’t make a generalize ation. Some sitters will take dogs to vet, grooming appointments, and pick up for boarding. Some sitters will not. If you expand the rate menu to view the additional rates and it shows a transportation rate listed, that’s a good indicator that they may be more willing than someone whose profile does not show that. Of course, there are exceptions. The best way to know is to message the sitters that are of interest. Each Rover sitter is independently operating their own small business.
