Is there a way to turn off automatic upload of photos to PUBLIC dog profile?

I realized that Rover is automatically uploading ANY photos that we share with the owner with everyone! This feels like a HUGE privacy violation and should be changed ASAP!

You are losing my faith in the company by either: 1) being ignorant of how this might be an issue, or 2) knowing this could be an issue, but are more concerned about the bottom line of making money.

My suggestions are that you: 1) clearly inform sitters that this is the case (and not in some fine print). 2) add a preference for being able to turn this functionality on or off 3) that default should be off by default (though it would be acceptable to during the account set up, to make a plea to the sitter as to why this is useful for the community) 4) Give sitters the opportunity to be able to delete their pictures from people's dog profiles.

I am not a sitter, but I would like to know if there is a way to turn off the public photos in the end of the owner.

Thanks in advance

Go to Account Settings. Select Sitter tab. Turn on hide photos.

No, this only hides the photos from the SITTER profile. But they are still shown on the DOG's profile. As a sitter that does boarding, I don't love the idea of the pictures of me and the inside of my house being seen by people other than the dog owners.
