Is it a Scammer?

I had a request for a booking for dog walking. This person requested 4 walks/week repeated weekly. They messaged me and said the time requested could be adjusted to whatever fits my schedule. They asked me where I was located. I answered but then received a message back stating that my texts came in “a zig zag” and if they could have my actual number. Without thinking anything of it I sent my number and again was asked where I was located. In a text this person gave me an EXACT address of a house outside of my town and said they would be moving here from Denver in a week and walks would need started 3 days after moving here. I looked up the address of the house which was in fact recently sold so I did a reverse image search of the profile picture and found this person was using pictures of a doctor located in California as their profile picture!!! Sitter and walkers.. please be careful and do your research before booking!!!!

Yes it’s a scam. Don’t give your number unless you have met them AND are hired THROUGH the site. I consider anybody trying to go off site with me a scammer.

There's a bunch of scammers on this site too and I have encountered few myself. They always ask for a direct number and tell you this service will be for their mom who is unable to walk her dog on daily basis. I am not sure really how their scam works, if they ask them for address or money, but I do not ever give out my real number to people who are fishing for numbers.
Always report them to Rover and they will ban them. Rover support is pretty good at banning these fake accounts.

BTW the story with the zig zag message I believe. When i text my clients from my phone and then look up the convo in my Rover profile on my computer, the message is always broken into few messages starting from the middle, totally scrambled up.

The zig zag I would totally understand if there were multiple messages EXCEPT I had only sent one text so I got suspicious.

Sorry i should have said when I sent 1 text via my phone, and then looked it up on my computer, it came broken into 3 messages and zig zagged.
