Should something come up at the time you are expecting to pick up your animal, is it possible to extend the time?

You need to contact your sitter to ask and ensure that the sitter has the availability to keep your pet for the additional time. By mutual agreement, the booking would be modified and you would be charged for the extra days.
It is always a good idea to discuss this in advance with your sitter if you anticipate having to extend your pet's visit. Also be sure to provide food/meds and other necessities in case you do.
