How to book a in house sitter for 6ish hours?

Hello! New to Rover - we are looking to have someone come dog sit in our house for a handful of hours (ex: 3pm - 11pm). Due to our dog's separation anxiety, we would prefer for the sitter to be here most if not the entire time. What type of request would I search? Is there a way to request a drop in visit that is for a longer stretch of hours? Or would we have to request house sitting even though it is not an overnight request? Thank you!

You would probably have a better experience with the process if you search house sitting service and in the message let the sitter know the hours and continuous care you’re seeking as you stated above.

If you chose drop in visits, it’s more likely that those profiles shown may not be available for 6-8 hours, since the longest rate listed is for 60 minutes.

Book a house sitter. You'll probably find their "overnight" charge more reasonable than hiring someone with an hourly rate, given that minimum wage these days is at least $12 and, possibly more depending on where you live. Just explain what you'll need when you contact some sitters. I am sure many will have no problem with providing this service at their house sitting rate.
