I am new to all this?

Hi

I have been a pet owner for 20+ years on and off, I am retired and live in Desert Hot Springs, California this last year having lived in the UK before that, we have just lost our two dogs this past 6 months and have 5 cats, so I would like very much to become a dog walker/sitter, I have almost completed my Rover profile, but I don't have any references that I could provide as I have never done this before, any help/suggestions would be most welcome.

Kindest regards

Andrew

If you have ever cared for a family members or a friends pet (even if you didn’t receive money for it), they can write a testimony that speaks to your pet care skills. If not, anyone who knows of the care you gave your pets, that person could also write a testimonial reference that speaks to that.

Starting out you can show that you are a responsible adult with many years of pet ownership by your friends & neighbors, for example>> " MARY HAS BEEN MY NEIGHBOR FOR MORE THAN 6 YEARS NOW AND I KNOW HER TO BE A RESPONSIBLE CARING PERSON AND OF COURSE A BIG DOG LOVER. SADLEY, SHE RECENTLY LOST HER LONG TIME COMPANION "PEANUT'S" WHO SHE SPOILED WITH LOVING CARE FOR MANY YEARS. mARY WILL MAKE A GREAT "ROVER' PET SITTER. 2 OR 3 LIKE THAT WILL GET YOU ROLLING. GOOD LUCK

If you are not familiar with a particular breed, Google that breed; it not only tells you their history and the characteristics of that breed which I found to be very helpful. I am retired; I have always had dogs, amongst many other species. I have been with Rover for three years; I have a fantastic following of regular clients, All shapes and sizes. I love them all!
