What exactly is meant by "overnight" stay?

I see some confusion. I went to book a cat sitter for an overnight stay from 8pm to 3pm the next day and the website returned with only a charge of only the sitter's one-night flat rate. That doesn't seem right since I am not asking for simply 10pm to 5am, but some extended hours. So, what exactly does Rover mean by overnight? And how can I specify that when arranging a booking so that the numbers come out right?

I have added- right in my profile "story", at the bottom: "Please note: ___" Then I go on to detail what an O/N is... - approx 12-14 hrs (7pm+/- thru 8am +/-) Much like a person's normal work day/home hours - I will leave in the am to service my other clients/my pets - if a mid day return visit is required, that is booked as a separate, drop-in visit. After having a client expect I was staying at their house 24 hrs, for 4 days- I updated my profile to clarify for future bookings.

Rover defines an overnight stay as up to 24 hours. Since you’re asking for the sitter to start the stay at 8 PM, that would include care up until 8 PM the next day, without additional charges. There may be some sitters who will deviate from that, but it sounds like 1 overnight is all that’s needed.

I would like Rover to give us the option to apply our own specific charges (for example) for me Caring for pets at their home: - Overnight Stay (12hr period) 8pm-8am (we enter our times & rate) - House Sitting (24hr period) we enter our rate - Day Care option to charge per hour / flat rate / hours

Were can we give rover suggestions in regards to the app. We need more flexibility on app so that it works for each individual sitter. I have alot of suggestions based on my time on rover and feedback from pet owners

Many sitters, who have provided services for years on rover, gave feedback from both their & pet owner clients perspectives. Much of the time what’s requested isn’t acted upon....and changes that are made do Not represent what most request. Maybe try contact via social media.
