Is there a way to set up a meet and greet without selecting dates?

My issue is that people are reaching out to sitters in our area who will shortly be moving here or short term renting and want to get established with a sitter but do not have any specific plans at the present. To my knowledge the only way to contact a sitter is to put in some dates that they really have no intention of using. Don't want to hurt my preformance score with something I can't control. Is there a way to set up a meet and greet without selecting any dates? The other option is when you archive is there a code that does not hurt your preformance score? Thank you for any information.

I understand, as I have also messaged sitters and the platform requires dates, so sitters not available then will not be shown. From previous discussions with rover staff, It seems there is not any way around preventing impact to the algorithm/performance score. I’d suggest picking a non-holiday weekday and messaging that you’ll be moving to area short term and are starting your search early.

I had this happen yesterday. Once I met her and started talking she told me that the dates she put in was because she had to put dates in. We then started talking about what services she needed etc.
