Why does it take so long to receive your payments? Why isn't their more options on where to receive your payments?

I am currently waiting for payments that says they are expected to be in my paypal account a week after I completed the service. Once they are finally sent to my paypal, I either have to pay a fee to get them sooner or wait even longer to avoid the fee. Why is paypal the only option? I don't even use paypal other than for Rover. I would rather use Venmo or even have it directly sent to my bank. It's very frustrating having to wait so long to be paid for a service you already completed especially during a global pandemic that has left so many with financial instability.

PayPal was WAYYYY Better. I could transfer funds and recieve them within a day at most 2 ( if Sunday was involved). Now Rover holds onto your funds at least 2 days and then stripe transfers -well- I don't know? I still haven't gotten anything 2 days later... This was a CRAPPY MOVE ROVER!!! I am not a fan of the less than stellar CS that the sitters get ( we are the ones that allow you to offer the services and pay 20% for adv/etc. AND give you either a good or bad reputation). So disappointed.

They should have kept PayPal as an option. I would rather pay a couple of bucks to PayPal to transfer my money to my bank then wait 5 days to get paid??! Im considering switching platforms... I just cant wait 5+ days to get paid.

I came here looking for why rover has particular jobs under earnings but my bank account doesn't show it . I was okay paying a couple bucks to transfer PayPal. At least I knew it was there. I can't wait forever for my money.

DId anyone else get blindsided by the fact that it's the Rover company itself that is collecting our private banking info instead of Stripe like their emails on this matter all implied? Have you read their terms of service that is so confusing you can't tell who is actually getting ANY of our info?

I'm so aggravated. Ever since the payment method changed it takes forever to get my payment. I email Rover every payday asking why they haven't released funds and I get the same automated message. No phone number to call and speak with a person. When PayPal was an option it was great. Quicker

They updated the payment options to only allow stripe and they take FOREVER to send your funds. the only benefit is that it goes straight to your bank account but it takes so long that the time to get paid to your paypal account then transfer to your bank is the same as the time to get paid through stripe. atleast with paypal I always knew my money would be there in two days. there has got to be a better way. or they’re gonna lose alot of sitters

I am very confused with this whole process. I know I have updated my bank and personal information on Stripe but not sure why it still shows the rover balance under my profile as if the money did not transfer to my bank account. Anything else that I should do after updating my information on Sttripe

I sent an message asking why I haven’t received any payment since starting with River in Dec 21. At that time I registered my credit card. Yesterday I registered my bank account info. I’m really discouraged can anyone tell me how to get payed quicker? River states payment comes in 2 days

Couldn't agree more. We wait forever to get paid. Rover gets their pay from ours instantly and I just don't understand why they hold it like ransom.

Just wait...if you don’t like p.p.... It’s about to get worse.

As of January 31 of 2022 there will only be one option: stripe. Stripe’s support has written that the best way to avoid payout failures is to link it to a checking account. For those people who use a different type of account, they may run into errors which would delay how quickly the funds are received.

your only option will be to use stripe or not have any bookings through rover. Venmo is not an option .

Google "stripe complaints" & "complaints about stripe" read some from each complaint website. There not to be trusted, it's an offshore company, not US regulated. Don't give direct bank access!!! Never!! Rover will change back at some point, they have to or they will implode. If you mistakenly gave bank access, have bank change account numbers ASAP. Stripe has done unauthorized withdrawals then canceled the stripe account. US banking regulations have know power stop any of this. As much as it sucks, just let money in your Rover account that (You Earned) sit till Rover gets there heads out of there buts. Till then just deal direct with customers. It's all we can do till Rover changes back. Set up a PayPal business account, they take a cuple percent, but it's safe, and PayPal doesn't steal your money. I loved using Rover. I'm deeply frustrated that Rover is screwing up so bad. But, since they went public, they can't hide any of this. It might take some time, but they will fix this, or there board will be replaced. Possibly there board will be criminaly liabil for deliberately mismanaging there company. Wait till Rovers legal department explains that to there board of directors... PayPal could be dropped, but (check by mail). How do you explain that one off? "Our checks are know good?". Right???? There stock has been crashing, heads will soon be rolling. Just be patient, this will all be resolved. Till then, just deal direct with the customers. (As we have been forced to by Rover corporate).

I won't give Rover my bank info. It's NOT Stripe whose getting it if you see the url when you click on add bank account it's a Rover url. That's VERY MUCH a red flag to me. I too have really loved working with Rover but this is not cool. I have money sitting in my Rover account and no access to it.

I sent them an email about the new payment processor. You should all do the same. This is ridiculous!

Trust@rover.com

I told them they will probably lose sitters. I’m already searching for another app that will get me paid a lot sooner.

Comments

I think they will lose sitters because I know I'm not alone saying I can't wait that long to get my money. There should be options.

I’ve been trying to find a way to complain about this as well so thank you so much for posting the email address!!

Came here to ask the same. I read it would still pay out two days after but that's not what I'm seeing. Very frustrated.

I was able to put my back account information and have it sent to my bank account.. you just go to the (…) in the bottom of the page for extra settings and click on “payments” and under your pending payments it should ask you if you want to use Stripe or add a payment method.

Yes, I was also able to use my bank account too. I didn't trust stripe. I don't need yet another bank account etc.

when do you get paid? is it 2 days after the actual date of the requested service? or is it 2 days after they confirm the request?

Comments

You get paid 2 days after the completion of a service. Read this: https://support.rover.com/hc/en-us/articles/202838244-How-do-I-get-paid-for-bookings-

It says I was paid out on the 24th and yet I have still not seen the payment in . It says you get paid but I still been waiting for days and still have not gotten paid. Stripe is ridiculous it takes forever! I don’t understand we shouldn’t have to wait so long for the money for services provided ☹️
