Do you mean if there's law that states all dogs must be vaccinated or are you asking if you need to vaccinate your dog to be able to use Rover platform to find a pet-sitter?

I believe that rabies vaccine is mandatory in all 50 states. Rabies vaccine is the only vaccine that's mandatory. You are not required to vaccine your pets with other vaccines.

Now, as for Rover, Rover is a platform that connects sitters and clients. Each sitter is an independent contractor, and each sitter rules and requirements are different. Unfortunately, Rover app search function is very limited and will not give you an option to search for a sitter who accepts dogs vaccinated for rabies only. It would be really helpful if such an option was added to the app.

Some sitters just follow the mandatory vaccine regulations. Some demand you vaccinate your dog with other vaccines and show them the proof of vaccinations. You are not required to get all those vaccines for your dog, it's up to you.

Rover establishes no roles. However, its Terms of Service requires that all owners and sitters follow local laws. Therefore, all states require dogs to be vaccinated against rabies.

Sitters can require dogs that board or go to daycare to have additional vaccinations because they have their own pets or take in other pets. That is their right as an independent business owner and they may ask for proof from your vet.
