Why does my puppy has extreme panic attacks?

Dear dog lovers,

We have an Australian Labradoodle of 5 months old. He is doing great: he is healthy, eats, drinks, gets sufficient exercise but not too much, learns quickly and is always happy. He has one problem though: he sometimes has extreme panic attacks while sleeping. It can happen during both day and night time naps. He calmly sleeps and then suddenly jumps up, barks and runs around in panic. After 3-6 seconds of very severe panic he calms down slowly and starts sniffing his sleeping spot. He sleeps anywhere in the house btw so it has nothing to do with his bed. On average he has this one time per day. Our vet does not have any clue what the cause could be even though we showed them several videos from our doggy cam. The breeders (who are very kind and whom we trust) can't recall any traumatic experiences from his first 8 weeks. We also can't find any similar stories/questions on the internet and thus we decided to post the question here. Does anyone know what the cause could be and how we can help him? Any ideas are most welcome.

Many thanks in advance!

Bojean

Please do not be spooked by my answer. Not witchcraft. Just something I learned and did myself. Spirits knocked things down and white candle stopped it. Think of it as Harry Potter scaring away the dementors.

This sounds far fetched to any person. But dogs can sense spirits. Everyday this happens there is a spirit that catches your dog's attention. They jump up, bark and run. Look and see if they are running away from something or chasing. I suggest lighting a white candle. It should calm things down. It provides light and makes the room lighter.

Also solve your dog's problem of panicking.

Last place I lived in was haunted and holy water and a white candle helped. We stopped once it settled. Just do it until your dog stops panicking. Then light a candle here and there.

Keeps the spirits away, the good ones (aka who do not spook a dog and cat) stick around and do nothing. But dogs look at spirits sometimes staring at them or the air and wall as people say.

When dog owners says my dog barks at air. It is a spirit they bark at. Spirits can spook dogs too.

I have a cat she can sense them too.
