Do sitters steal dogs?

I am very worried about giving my dog to a stranger in the rare occurrence that they might not answer the phone or avoid me to keep the dog. Am I just being overly paranoid? I'm interested in doggy day care so I can go to my job, but worried because I adore my dog.

I totally understand your concern. You might feel better finding a local business that does doggie day care and has good reviews. Might be a little more expensive but worth it for piece of mind. If not, I would just really check out reviews on here and ask them to send you constant updates with pics

Also, when reading reviews, make sure it says" verified stay" that means it was a true booking thru Rover

Rover provides this platform to support pet owners who want to connect with independent contractors, helps streamline billing, and resolve any trust & security issues. Rover does runs a background check on all sitters listed here. Both parties have to build a mutually trusting relationship. Generally, most pet owners are genuinely looking for someone to care for a pet and most pet sitters want to provide quality care.

Even though my dog has many adorable friends who we cherish spending time with, it's definitely extra responsibility and work. We enjoy seeing them, but I've never wanted to keep any of them as part of our household. I have extremely high ethics& morals and consider it a profession of the heart (furry affectionate rewards are part of the total compensation).

I'd suggest closely read the profiles of people near you, set up complimentary meet & greets with your top choices, and ask them questions in person with your pet present to ensure you're comfortable that it's a match. The right Rover sitter can provide more personalized service with more flexibility than a day care facility,

I have never once heard of that happening. I've been doing Rover since 2015.
