good puppy but horrible owners. How many stars for the rating ?

I recently watched a young Husky that was 4 months old. The request came in with the correct age but another profile was created that stated the dog was 1 year 4 mo's. I usually dont check the price after the owners have paid. I usually have good faith that everything is calculated corectly and that the owner chose the correct option (puppy in their case) . I checked hw much the owners paid and no, they did not pay the puppy price, they chose the standard amt. The owner was very apologetic and paid the additional monies due for the service. Puppies are a totally different creature in the sense that they have loads of energy, they jump and play and bite on everything ad they most of all are not house trained at all which is expected for a 4 month old puppy. This dog was very well taken care of. All the pets I take care of are treated great, needs are met and I try to keep them on the schedule they follow when they are at home for a smooth transition. At drop offWe drove to their home and the husband was quite rude. Was it the time? 10:15pm wasn't late for pickup , since they consider themselves to be night owls. To get to the main point, a day later apparently the owner wanted a refund for reasons I do not know . THere were "issues she discussed with Rover" without trying to work things out with the person who boarded her dog (me). I sent her a message to respond to her request for a refund and stated I'd call to discuss and asked her what time worked for her. NO RESPONSE. 5 TO 6 hours later I sent a text that wasnt for her , but mentionedher terrible conduct during this entire process. It started in the beginning with trying to scam me for a few bucks. I do beleive they knew exactly what they were doing when they made the 2nd profile and it was to manipulate the price. I haven't heard anything from the owner and it's been several days. When I review stays I am 100% honest andwill be with this stay of course, but how many stars do I select?? It says to review the pet not the owners. The dog realistically deserves 4 stars due to the disobedience without the shock collar. It barked a lot , bit me when it was playing with him, i do understand that's common puppy behavior. But how many stars do I give these people. I would hate for them to try to scam someone else like they did me, but I think they should possibly be given a warning. Rover is a priviledge that hooks you up with quality sitters. Respect the platform especially the sitters wiping up your puppy's pee and other things! So how many stars and what does Rover do with people like this? II've never had ... (more)

I don’t think it matters - it’s primarily for your future reference. Use the text field with low stars so you’ll be able to remember why you’re not interested if you get a repeat request down the road at a point when you’ll have a less vivid memory about the experience. I’ve not seen where a sitter can preview what other sitters have rated potential clients to make an “informed” decision (a la Uber), and I’m not sure that Rover would take action to “ban” a poorly reviewed client.

Everything matters. my opinion on low quality Rover clients trying to manipulate the pricing by providing inaccurate details several times w/ different sitters. These owners shouldn't have the benefit of what ROVER offers.Unless it doesn't matter to Rover that they have scammers on their platform.

The owners can see the stars. I asked my regular if she can see stars for her pooch. She said yes. Sitters are the only ones that leave stars I believe.

If they tried to scam you there is reporting the conversation from the website or app. I did this when someone said to pay outside of Rover. Mark it as a scam, the messages get sent.
