Are these red spots on my dogs nose just scrapes/cuts Or they a sign of a underlying issue?
About a week ago two spots appeared on my dogs nose. I initially believes them to be scrapes or cuts since he likes to run around in the woods. But they appear to be getting worse so I'm concerned they could be a sign of a underlying issue. I plan on bringing him to the vet but wanted to check and see if a vet visit is necessary. Any thoughts?

I took a look at the pictures and my guess (I'm definitely not a vet) is doggy acne. Some dogs and breeds are more prone to it. My boxer frequently gets acne. It typically goes away in a week ish. I'd give it a few days and go to the vet if it's still there, spreads or looks worse. Good luck!
