Do declines happen often?

I have asked for house sitting and when I was declined I asked for just drop in visits with 3 different sitters. All the requests were sent to sitters who had available showing on their calendar and they all declined claiming they were booked or forgot to update their calendar. I'm frustrated. Does that happen often?

Most contributors here are individual pet sitters & walkers or pet parents, so the question posed isn't easily answered. It's too bad this is happening. I'd suggest calling Rover Customer Support [Edit: Rover’s contact options have changed. Visit the Rover Help Center at https://support.rover.com/ to find the phone number, help articles, or chat with the team] for help booking someone in your area (and tell them your experience thus far. They can see who you've contacted and take appropriate action for their lack off updating calendar.
