I want to charge a premium rate for a same day booking. How?

There is not a custom option when setting my rates. I want the client to know upfront what it will cost them to avoid me telling them "Oh, by the way, the rate is double for same day..." (or whatever the rate would be.) That seems pretty awkward and shady. Thoughts?

I agree, I think there should be a custom add-on field for any kind of incidental cases/circumstances such as the one you speak of. I, myself, want to be able to charge a day rate and night rate if they're dropping the dog off in the morning and not picking them up until the next afternoon. I wish that the app had times attached to dog boarding versus dog sitting so that the clients don't think I'm double charging them if I ask them to book both a dog sitting and dog boarding.

Before you book, ask for the dropoff & pickup times. If you have that situation, then add on a daycare charge or an amount commensurate with the overtime. Nothing precludes you do that. You tell the client that a nightly charge is only good for up to 24 hours.

I give clients a bit of extra time, but I don't tell them the amount. Otherwise, I am sure they would be pushing the envelope. But no one has balked at the times when told about them at the beginning.

I feel same way. I am making same amount on a 6 hour afternoon with 3 dogs, as I am for 1 dog for 4 days. 9am Friday to 4pm Monday, 4 days and 3 nights, but booked 3 nights. I'm at their house for the whole 4 days. I'm new so not sure how to charge or tell them what to click on to be charged.?? I
