Can you refer a sitter when you are ending your Rover career?

I am expecting a baby in October, so September will be my last month sitting for Rover. I have made some great clients over the 2 years I’ve been sitting with Rover and would love to refer them to another sitter. Is there a way to refer to another sitter (I’ve been thinking of trying to set up a meet and greet with a sitter in my area to form a relationship before referring clients)? Is there an easy way to let all my past clients know I will no longer be dog sitting, or if I don’t speak to them do I just disappear off Rover?

First off, congratulations!

Rover doesn't make it easy to to refer your former clients. You will have to do exactly what you described: contact them for a Meet & Greet, as if you were intending to book them yourself. Then, once you decide on your successor, you would go into your Inbox and send individual messages to clients to let them know about this person.

Another alternative is to look into whether there's a Facebook or Reddit group for Rover sitters and are able to put out feelers for sitters in your area.

Good luck with everything!
