Can New Yorkers apply for government funding as Rover sitter?

Wondering if being a Rover sitter and losing business as a result of the pandemic qualifies for one to get small business loan if not operating as an LLC.

Every state will determine their own requirements for payments under the care act. I believe most Rover sitters may qualify for unemployment payments under the act. Most pet care businesses with IC's or employee's may quality for a business loan

Hey Laura, I live in Philly now but I'm from Brooklyn. I know Queens has been hit really hard and just wanted to say I hope you and yours are staying well. I think many of us are trying to figure out how to get through the next few months. When I have been sent offers for business loans, one of the questions is what your income vs. expenses is. Now that your income has changed, if you have a good amount of savings in the bank, I think that would help your chances for a loan. They do also ask for SS# so a good credit score would help your chances, I would think. Separate from any govt. offers related to the current issues that may be available hopefully soon, you could try contacting your bank or Paypal. I don't think the IRS system is set up for it yet, but you also may qualify for unemployment now.

Many, many thanks for the info and your kindness! I am originally from Brooklyn too :-). Stay well.

For unemployment, how would you go about listing your employer?
