Client wants to cancel, but I wonder which option looks bad?

A client texted me to cancel his scheduled dog walk. He said the app wouldn't let him cancel it, so could I cancel it for him. So, I said sure. When I go to cancel, it says cancelling by owner request will not honor my cancellation policy or something like that. So, I told the owner he had to cancel the request. I even sent a link to the page that shows how to cancel a dog walk. It explains how easy it is to cancel, so it seems a bit strange that the owner couldn't figure out how to cancel the walk. I'm just curious if it is some sort of scam (which I get lots of on here) that the client is doing to try and mess with my good ranking and integrity. The client had past experience on Rover, as he has pics posted of the stays.

That was several hours ago. The owner still did not cancel the request, and obviously, as per his text/request, I did not walk the dog. What should I do? I don't know if I should try to cancel myself or should I leave it as is and then it looks like I didn't show up for the walk. I suppose I am a bit confused as to how it will affect me to cancel the walk on my end since I am the the care giver, not the client. I'm not sure which action will have a negative affect on my profile, if any.

Thanks for your help.
