how do I find out what my rover number is? I have someone that just asked me to talk directly. That was the very first thing they said, in all caps. I just find that an odd approach to begin a conversation and don't want to give out my personal number quite yet. Can I give this person my rover number that he can call so it will be forwarded to my phone?

I actually can't find where mine is either. Under profile "settings" you can choose to alway have your number displayed or only after the confirm the booking. For now I would ask when you can call them, their rover number is displayed on their web inbox conversation or you can press the phone button in the app when your conversation screen is open.
Your clients should be able to see it in their conversation with you, same as you can see theirs. It's also the number your Rover texts will come from, if they have messages pushed to their phone. They are allowed to call it based on your profile settings (always/after booking/never). If you're concerned about giving your personal number, you could set up a google voice number and have it forward to your cell phone and then use that for discussions with clients.
