Not all posts are displaying in the forum??

Yet again something isn't right with this forum. I have email notifications turned on so I get an email when someone posts a new question. So yesterday I get an email, post a response to the post, yet the post does not show at all in the forum. I went back to the email and clicked the link and can see the post, so WTH

That's interesting. I don't get notifications about new questions/comments. Sometimes one in response to something I've posted, but not regularly.

Anyway, is it the question about subcontracting? I only found that by looking at your activity, which shows the response you wrote. That question doesn't show on any of the boards.

If it is something else, could you post a link?

Hey Karen, nope that's the one! And I don't see it in my activity or on the boards

It shows for me when I go to your profile and click on Activity. Let me see if I can post to that nonexistent question and whether you can see it.

FYI, I posted a response to the subcontracting question and see it under my activity. Don't know why you can't see yours, although that still doesn't answer the question why the original question isn't on any board to my knowledge.

I can see your response in your activity, but the post is a ghost

Do you think that the OP deleted her post after you told her to ask in the Facebook group? Could that be what is going on?

This forum needs an enema! (To re-phrase a line from a Batman movie lol). But seriously, the whole thing needs an overhaul.

Isn't that what the other site was supposed to be? I was interviewed by someone on the Rover project development team but then was never told anything about it when it was being tested or went live.

The new Rover community is deader than this forum

Wonder why that is. Do you suppose people just prefer the Facebook groups?

The Rover HQ group has 5K members, 20-50 posts per day. There is an un-official group 3K members and again 20+ post per day, Facebook is the most visited sites, this forum and the community forum are dead

Of those FB posts, how many would you consider are relevant questions on sitting, clientele, using Rover, etc.? IMO those numbers tend to reflect perhaps an active site, but not necessarily one where you obtain a lot in the way of useful sitter-related info.

@Karen, the posts run the gamit from newbie questions, how do I prices this and how do I do this! But then there are the complainers, those who cry about Rovers 20% and mostly complain about clients

I don't know anything about a subcon. post but I did receive a notification for a nonsensical post from a Tonto K. When I clicked on the link, it was not in the forum. When I clicked on his name in the email it took me to his profile page where I saw it as a deleted thread.

P.s. sorry for all the edits

I deleted that post - it was SPAM

Thanks for that.
