Review process?

Noticed my response to a bad review couldn't be seen on tablet or phone, and had asked if this was normal. Another member said yes. Since most people use these devices (instead of a laptop) to do sitter searches, why are responses not shown?

Your question should be posted immediately. The hold only applies to a first-time poster to make sure they're a real person and not a spammer.

"Should" being the key word. One of my posts is in my profile but not showing up on the list of questions.

I just edited the above question to reflect the contents of another question I posted which cannot be seen.

I wondered why my response had nothing to do with your question. Hope I don't get a drive-by downvote from someone who doesn't have a clue what we've been discussing today. ;-)

Yikes! Sorry 'bout that! :)

Yes marking is a huge behavioral issue especially for male dogs. However, if I turned down every male dog that marks, I wouldn’t have as much business as I do. Therefore, I use male dog wraps for the male habitual markers and make the owners responsible for providing them. The female wraps are not the best because the design has to accommodate the tail. But I do not encounter many female markers. You can get the wraps almost anywhere, but definitely at all pet stores.

On the other community board, I see your question posted, without any answers. If you're looking for a response from rover, I'd suggest contact them directly.

On a side point, you may choose to change wording (mostly at meet & greet while you're observing how dog reacts unleashed in your home & if dog has tendency to mark, but you may consider profile too) a bit more to get matched with the right pups for you. You clearly state House Trained dogs only. Based on the review, this pup wasn't a fit because it was Marking. Generally, those are 2 totally different things. House Trained referring to going to the bathroom outside when need to eliminate. Whereas, Marking isn't usually driven by the need to eliminate - that's more of a behavioral issue.

I did contact them, and received an answer. Replied back to them because their answer didn't answer my question : /

I do state it in my profile (which says includes marking), it's also a question I ask at MnG. The client's dog did not mark at the MnG (a miracle), and she told me he was housetrained. It's only when she dropped him off it was mentioned. He was a constant marker.

My apologies, I did not realize I had inadvertently deleted the part about no marking in my profile. It was there when she read my profile, I was just tweaking it the other day and must've deleted it. Thanks for the heads up!

I've found that email answers frequently do not meet my expectations either. Much better answers are given by calling and talking with a representative.
