New request, but no notification until 24 hours later?

The other day I received a warning text from Rover regarding a day-old request— two of them, in fact, from the same owner. I had not gotten any notifications, no badge had shown up on the app, and I couldn't even find the requests until I pulled up my account on the computer. However, the message count on my home page was (0) and the requests showed as read instead of unread when I found them. So confusing.

Has this ever happened to anyone? At first I thought I was going crazy and had completely blanked, but I'm very on top of my requests and since I've been actively taking them for the past few weeks, including last-minute ones, it's highly unlikely that I completely glossed over two requests. Should I contact Rover? I sent my response and apologized for the delay, but it's been two days without hearing from the owner. I'm worried that I lost them to another sitter, all due to a stupid glitch.
