Is there access to pet reviews outside of those we already cared for?
Just a thought... Rover encourages us to share “internal ratings” of a dog “ and also allows us to make our own notes about the dog for ourselves. Unless I missed how to access this data, why doesn’t Rover share this “internal” info with sitters or encourage an optional basic post sitting yes or no survey/review asking questions: did the dog chew, destroy, won’t come inside when called, is a digger, isn't truly housebroken, not really crate trained, had very high anxiety, marks the house, “only nips a little” counter surfs, etc to prep the next sitter? I’d utilize access to a dog’s “HR file” of undesirable behaviors / quirks in addition to a thorough M&G before I book if it were available. It’s likely caretakers will keep booking the behaved dogs and purge the rest, and there are new to Rover owners but...
Reading the boards, and in reality, owners don’t always share the full truth about the pups whether they just didn't know or personally don’t see it as an issue in their eyes. I’ve read comments by my peers about only using crates from now on, anxious crying all night, always using baby gates from now on, can’t leave the dog unsupervised under an hour before destruction and we all understand this can happen and does comes with the gig however, can we “see the internal memo” in advance if we choose? Maybe a shared “pet star rating & review” for caretakers?
I’m guessing when a sitter won’t board a dog again, the next sitter will discover it the same way until the owner runs out of sitters..
Happy boarding, walking and sitting!
