How do I find a sitter comfortable with senior dogs?

3 week trip coming up and need someone who loves senior dogs who prefers indoors and outside only occasionally.

Find a sitter and feel free to message them with your questions. Many sitters have experience with senior dogs(like myself because mine passed recently and that's why I do Rover now :)) Make sure to read through their profile and don't hesitate to ask the right questions so your pups needs are met

That sounds like an easy match to find. However, I see that there are not any filters which users can choose to narrow down sitters based on senior dogs. I'd suggest you enter your dog's breed, size, and age in the profile. That may help show sitters aligned with your needs. You can also contact customer support because they have additional filter criteria which is not shown to all users and can help suggest sitters at no extra charge.

Once you decide on at least 2 sitters who you think are a match, I'd highly recommend setting up a complimentary meet & greet. You'd want to clearly discuss all details about your dog, state your expectations, gain mutual understanding of exactly what service they provide (it can vary widely among sitters) , and find out if either one is available to be a back up sitter in case needed. After that, I'd suggest you book at least a 1 night stay before the 3 week trip so the dog, sitter, and you can get to know each other.
