Asking for reference from previous boarder for a dog?

Hello there,

I have a dog coming soon, and I noticed (in the pictures) this dog have boarded with others before.

Is there a way I can ask those folks about the dog?

Does it worry you that dog have boarded with 3 different people in 1 year? I typically think people would stick with the same place if they liked the service, yes? Of course it is also possible the people weren't available as well, but I wonder if there is any issue with the dog that the boarders are refusing a repeat.

Thanks!

Currently the only way to contact another sitter is to send them a booking request, just be up front and tell them it i not a booking but you are requesting info about a clients dog. Best of luck

Thanks Walt.

That's what I did. 3 mo old puppy had been at 7 dog sitters based on photo uploads.

Yeah, you could ask them, but I think I would hear owners out at M&G. I would look more at the sitters' profile/experience/photos though. That in itself can be very telling.

Yes it could be as simple as the other sitters were booked up but I would not just assume that. I personally would ask the owner at the meet and greet. 1) It lets the owner know you took the time to review his/her profile. 2) It may open up the conversation if there were things that the other sitters did or did not do in which is why the owner is looking for another sitter.

Best of Luck!
