I bought more food for the dogs. Will Rover reimburse me?

My client's business trip was extended from 1 week to 2 weeks unexpectedly and the dogs ran out of food. I offered to buy more food for the dogs, the owner approved and said that she would reimburse me. I sent her a photo of the receipt 2 days ago ($40 worth of food!) and haven't heard a thing from the owner. I assume they're busy with work and the stay doesn't end for a few more days, but it's a little weird. I'm not in a rush to be reimbursed, but I would expect it by the end of the stay at the latest. If they never reimburse me, is that something that Rover will cover? Thanks.

I would think they will pay you back in cash for the dog food. I would not worry about if they don't pay you back until after they return.

Rover will not reimburse you for expenses incurred while sitting for a client. I would expect the client to pay you once they return from travel, and there isn't a way for the client to pay you through the Rover platform.

Absolutely agree with Walt. When the owner comes to pick up the dog, just make sure to give her the receipt from the dog food (plus the rest of the bag). If she's on a business trip I would think she's too busy to texting back she saw the receipt you texted her.
