Do I have to disclose that I have cameras in my home?

I have doggy cams in my home pointed at the kitchen and living room areas, which is where my dog is most of the time when he is home alone. I read that per the Rover contract, I do not have to disclose this information - is this still the case? I don't mind adding it to my pets bio, I just want to know whether it is required.

Also, I do not want to seem too particular but I noticed on the camera that the walk was 3.5 minutes shy of the full 30 min. walk. Usually when the walker goes over 30 mins I leave a little more tip - but I have never experienced a shorter walk. Is this typical and acceptable within the community?

As a Rover dog walker and sitter I always ask a new client if they have a security system or camera's in their home during the meet and greet, while you may not legally have to disclose you have them it is a courtesy fo the walker.

Dog walks are a 30 minute visit and include the time the walker enters your home, leashes your dog, takes the walk, returns home, checks the water bowl, gives a treat and possibly re-crates your dog so the walking time averages 25 minutes, not the full 30. Hope this helps

No you do not need to disclose that you have cameras (especially for a dog walking situation). I think that it is nice to let a sitter know if you are having them house sit. (But again, totally your call . you do not have to.)

As for your dog walker being shy for the 3.5mins... me personally would not make an issue out of it, especially if it was only once. Now, if the same walker continued to short you on time and did not make up for the time on other days then yes I would mention something to her.

Best if Luck!
