Dog over lap?

Hi.

I'm having a hard time with the dogs overlapping each other for stays.

For example: If I get a booking Monday to Friday with a dog that isn't good with other dogs - then I get a second request for another booking Thursday to Wednesday, so the two dogs would be together for the Thursday and Friday until one got picked up.

I hate having to turn down an entire week of boarding with the second dog because of the first booking.

Maybe I'm too kind, but what are other people doing? Are you just popping a dog in a bedroom until the other dog is picked up? Do you tell the owners their dog may have to be in a bedroom for a night?

None of the dogs I board ever get along with each other - it's really frustrating! They all get along with my dog - just not other people's.

I think it's fine to separate the dogs or even crate them if they aren't getting along, provided it's a temporary situation. As long as the owners know there are other dogs in the mix I think it's a reasonable expectation that they may have to be separated at times.
