We are new to Rover. Is it appropriate to tip our dog sitter?

Appropriate? Absolutely. We tip everyone who serves us or works for us. Cleaners. Hair cutters. Drivers. Servers. Window cleaners. Dog walkers. Baristas. Tipping means caring :) But it's not mandatory to tip your server, driver or dog walker. It's your choice :)

I have had a few dog owner's tip me in the past as a token of appreciation for a job well done but it is never expected and I don't think anything less of the owner's that do not tip.

Many owners will leave a tip by cash or a gift card for their sitters, but it is not mandatory or expected. If a sitter provides excellent care it is a way to show your appreciation and they will be thrilled by your thoughtfulness.
